I went to a car boot sale yesterday and came across a suitcase full of old pictures and photos, which were lovely, I could not resist them and bought the lot . I would hate to think that the old photos and pictures would be destroyed as they are someone's family. So if anyone is related to R Thorp-Levitt I have a picture of him that they can have (no charge). This is what is written on the back: |

Oh WOW thank you everyone, I looked for Thorp-Levitt on GR but there was no record, so just thought I would post anyway. I never thought to look up any other info because I did not have the first name. Thank you so much for the info, very helpful, and hopefully now I will be able to find a family member who might like the photo. |

Oh my goodness, now I'm intrigued, thank you for the additional info. Now I am wondering about the double barrel name Thorp-Levitt, I will have to find out more. I will contact the GR members with Joseph Levitt in their tree and maybe they can tell me the connection. Thank you! |

Lindsey, thank you for the info, so if I am reading this right Joseph Levitt may have married Eleanor Escrett Thorp and that is where the R Thorp-Levitt would come from, oh how exciting this is and it's not even my tree or rellies. |

Just a thought, why does GR not have the facility for us to upload photos onto these boards then we could share these lost photos and maybe reunite more with their families? |

Blimey, how long has the success videos and photos board been around? I hadn't even noticed it before. I had taken a break from GR for a while and kept popping in and out, but I missed that one! |

Great things can be found in Winchester boot sales, although I've not seen anything so interesting as this.....but then I'm only a sometimes visitor to the area. |

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread. I am now in touch with relatives of Robert Thorp-Levitt and I am well on my way to returning this photo to the family. I have been able to send e-mails of the pic to distant relatives so that everyone can enjoy it. |
