I'm currently read in the 4th one in the series, Breaking Dawn. They are very good and addictive.

The movie stars Robert Pattinson (he played Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter film) and he's very hot. (no pun intended as he plays a very cold vampire).

Well I've just seen a preview of the latest movie " New Moon" which comes out on the 20th of November.

For anyone interested here's a link to the trailler.

My fifteen year old daughter has read them all. New one due out called "Midnight Sun". She is "well into" the books. Just bought a "Jacob Black" hoodie and Wolf necklace.

She is looking forward to "new Moon" due in the cinemas soon

so I take it your daughter is Team Jacob then? Libby. I myself am Team Edward.

Very much "Team Jacob". Tbh she witters on so much about the books I just let it go over my head. Some of it must have sunk in though. lol

I am just glad that she like to read books because I always seem to have my nose stuck in a book , when I am not on here.. Up until about 3 years ago all she did was either watch tv (trashy teen sitcoms from the States mainly) or be glued to MSN etc.

I read a wide range of books but have never been able to get into either "fantasy" or "sci fi". I have never read "Lord of the Rings" or watched the films... never appealed to me.

Perhaps it is time I educated myself.

I really do enjoy scifi and alternative stories, and had high expectations of the movie after all the great things my grandees and daughter had said about it.
But was dissapointed, too many long steaming looks and heavy breathing, the young Marlon Brando did it so much better, didn't think much of the acting and I thought the special effects were a bit overdone... but on the plus side the characters were kind of cute...

Hi Helen, my 13 year old is also obsessed with all things Twilight. She's read all the books, got the DVD which she watches endlessly and she is already planning her trip to the cinema to see the new film! I almost started reading it, but had so many other books waiting that I didn't in the end. The film has been on when I've been in the room but I haven't sat and watched any of it.
Best vampire film ever? The Lost Boys - nothing can touch it. I made Charlotte watch it as I thought she needed educating lol

I was given the 1st book of the twilight series to read whilst in hospital last September, enjoyed it so much that on my release from hospital I got the rest of the series from Amazon.

Have you read 'The Host'? (Another by same autheress)

Haven't seen Lost Boys, not a big Kieffer Sutherland fan. Mazz.

Have you seen Dracula 2000 with Gerard Butler, Christopher Plummer, Jonny Lee Miller, Justine Waddell? Now that is a good film especially the revelation as to where Dracula originated from.

Carol I shall probably read that after I've finished the Twilight series. Once Iget hooked on an author, I tend to read all of her books.

Jeanette I find that I tend to try and read the books after I've watched the film versions, this being so that I don't get disappointed when things don't appear in the film that I know are in the book.
