I have just checked my telephone bill on line ( did away with paper bill) and found lots of numbers i didn't recognise, this isn't the first time but just thought that i may have made them, but this time there were 5 calls to local hospital at a cost of £1.70 that i know for definitely i did not make.
I am waiting for a call back to see what is going on.

Hi Val

I used to get the BT paper ones and did check them but not long ago i got Orange Wireless & they had a deal that to get cheap broadband i have to pay the cost of my calls to them which they said were cheaper

But i keep forgetting to go and look on line at my bill lol

Get a notebook keep it by the phone and record
date, phone number called and duration. It does help when checking bills and only takes a minute to record.

It is not just the hospital number that i am querying..in all there are 9 local numbers that i don't think i have rung, the chap i spoke to yesterday at BT said "well Mrs ****** if you are sure you didn't ring that number i will take it off your bill" looks as if it happens all the time.

The thing is i have free evenings and weekend calls so i rarely use phone during the day.
Waiting for a call back.
