Hiya Joan, thank you... my main problem is that a neighbour has his caravan on my land... well, a goodly bit of it is... but is refusing to move it... and it will cost us thousands to make him through the courts.... we have taken legal advice... and because of how far it encroaches, we can actually legally fence or hedge him in, lol..... there are a lot of other issues going on here... but for now, I'd just like to edge him out..... hubby was going to plant bamboo underneath.... just to see if it pierced the floor...

*sigh* why do things seem so difficult sometimes?

Mmmm.... it would have been.... only I was too ill to play in the garden this spring just gone.... but we have a little bit of time to play... we have one more alternative that we are sure he will refuse...... but we must try that first... oh, and hubby has just discovered Russian vine, lolol ;¬))

Russian vine will need some support to start with, will then cover the offending caravan!

lol Jean.... I have just been reading up on it.... now, my neighbour is truly obnoxious, but I wouldn't wish that one on even him.... what a little thug that plant is!!

Daff, Russian Vine took over my life, my neighbours, and the whole of my patio a few years ago! Six strong men had to hack their way through it! pmsl....Considering the circumstances, I would plant it if I were you:-)) XX BC

WMSL at BC.... and knowing my luck, there wouldn't be half a dozen strong men around to save me from the vine, lolol

Do you think Sleeping Beauty was screened by it? What a swashbuckling little prince, that Charming was, lolol

My Ex-neighbour, who as a person I loved to bits!!!
has now been moved away for some 4-5 years.......

and the bloody legacy they left us was..............RUSSIAN bloody Vine AND Bamboo--------- the russian vine tries ( as has been said) to strangulate anything it come into contact with, and the Bamboo, in spite of the house being gutted by a fire STILL keeps coming up in my side of the fence,
is there no easy way to eradicate this bamboo pest?
my present neighbour has to keep digging it out...........

Bob

ps

there is a comic tale about "Lost" camoflage nets, could you not hide the caravan under one of those?
