My hubby is trying to be helpful bless him!! He really really is!! But I am sooooooo gonna thump him in a minute!

Yesterday we had a little tiny spat... as you do, over in about 3 seconds, but he was in the wrong and snapped at me!!

Well... he bought me a pack of tiger prawns and a big bag of crisps (better than a box of chocs for me!!) and a honeysuckle plant.

And now, today, he keeps coming downstairs from his computer room, with little snippets about one line of my tree.... but he seems to be concentrating on Old Bailey records... is he trying to tell me sommat.

Love

Marilyn... my oh is very good, too.... but when he is being apologetic, he gets, well..... in my flippin' way... and I haven't the heart to yell at him!!

I have, however, just googled the side effects of a drug I have been on for two weeks now.... guess what.... no wonder I snapped... I have e-mailed him the link, and hopefully he will read it and keep well clear, lolol Finish it today, so will be back to normal in a day or so!!

I had spinal surgery on Monday so my hubby took a week off to be a housewife. He was tired yesterday so thinking he has done a good job he took the day off.

His idea of a good job is that the kitchen is a midden, the bathroom sink is covered in toothpaste, there are wet towels everywhere, and the ironing pile is like a mountain. He is currently in town doing the shopping, goodness knows what food he will bring back, even though I gave him a list. I bet he can't find half of it and he will come home with loads of stuff but nothing to put a meal together with.

But at least he has kept me supplied with coffee so that I can sit and read my book in peace bless him.

I do love him really.

Daff, at least he is showing an interest in your hobby, can't fault him for that. Maybe we should all keep our heads down while the medication leaves your system Lol!!!!

We are home now, came via Street where they have a wonderful craft shop Lol!!! T didn't know that, I did!!! Got other stuff as well and then got stuck in a long slow moving crawl from J 20 to 23 on the M% (roadworks).

Daff, Never get upset at his help.... EVEN if he drives you wild... he is helping.
My husband is a great help to me as I am ill, but we are at a stage now where he is *sicker* than me... AND STILL will not sit down.
Bless him.
Count your blessings Daff... you have a good one there.

Mine has spent the last three days putting up a pergola in the garden and is now ironing, a job he took over after one of my ops and wont give me back! But-- why is it he always comes to wash his hands in the sink, with running hot water, just as I am trying to strain veg? He doesnt seem to see the glare I give him!

Jean (Monmouth), my OH would always wash his hands in the kitchen sink, even though we have a perfectly good hand basin in the bathroom. In the last few months before he went in to hospital he was always wanting to help. He would slice the carrots for me to cook. If I was baking he wanted to help so I had to let him stir things or cut the butter into the flour and sugar (must admit he got it nice and fine even if it did take an age). Now, I have to do all the things he used to do as he wont be coming home (alzheimers). I am going to pay somebody to mow the lawns though, and I am not going to bother about growing veges. Not worth it just for me. At least not when I want to spend time going through my accumulation of the years and getting rid of as much as I can.

Huia.

He is forgiven!! Bless him, he really is my rock, but he does snub my toe once in a while, lolol!!

I am all sweetness and light again today, lol...... I don't get curmudgeony with him very often......

No.... he is one very special fella, and we have been together 39 years... married for 37 of those, so not bad going!!

I have given him some research on his own family to do..... and access to my Ancestry.... he is sooooooo much quicker at it than I am!
