No you don't sound sad, just forgetful LOL. Happens to us all Mabel. I don't remember things as well as I used to, though I remember numbers easier than words.

My Gt Aunt was one for being forgetful. She wasn't senile, just dizzy lol. I visited once, she was in the kitchen nattering through to door to us while making tea, when there was a knock on the door. It was the fish man. Gt Aunt answered the door, asked him what she ordered, took it, put it in the fridge, then sat down. Fish man didn't have his money and was waiting on the doorstep, we still hadn't got our cuppa.

I always make lists for everything..... but tend to get sidetracked very easily.... Sue Maid, swap you baked beans for your rice... I have cupboards full of beans!!

Now... my lists of *jobs to do* are a family joke... I make a list..... get sidetracked, and end up not completing one single task on it.... so then I add to it all the things I HAVE done.... and cross them straight off with a flourish and a deep sense of achievement, lolol!!

Love

Daff xxxxxx

You're right about the task lists TW. I make task lists at times when there is a lot to do. It is good to tick off the jobs as they're done. I don't get too strict about it though and stress if I don't finish everything on the list.

I live by those kind of lists. Holidays, even days out, or if someone is coming for the day, I list all the things I need, or I WILL forget something.

Christmas is a great list thing too, not just the food, but the preparation, from making the cake and pudding, planning the shopping, and all the tasks needed beforehand.

I do feel with task lists, as you tick them all off there is a sense of achievement.

I make lists for holidays too, Elaine. I make lists at Christmas and when we have a do at our house. When we go on a big holiday - such as going to the UK - I make lists of places we have to see, want to see and will see if there's time:-)

Sue, I don't do that by my OH does. He wanted some mustard, got some, then next time he went shopping, he thought he still needed it, he'd forgotten he already bought it.

We ended up with six jars of mustard in the cupboard *tsk*

Vary shop by Tesco, Sainsburys & Asda

Shop online ... look at offers first, then just what is needed for week ahead.

That way no temptation, or need to get someone to help put heavy stuff into/out of car
