Bit of a marathon then Sue....lol

I bet your pleased it's over ........until next year : ))

Walked about a mile to the farm shop, where I usually have Sunday lunch, to find that it was shut.


So walked another few miles - and managed to find a Greggs open. Lunch was therefore a sausage roll.

and then walked back home.

Exciting (or should I say exiting?)

My little part of the world was cut off from all forms of transport today. Courtesy of the Great North Run - and me living at the finishing line.

I have red tiles on my window sills ( it being a council house ) . I made the mistake of painting them at some point in time . Over the years we have got nearly all of them back to plain red tiles again.
I know just what you mean about the paint splitting on them Teresa.....lol

Fluff and fuzz is one thing...what's a freshly painted door if it hasn't got at least one hair or paintbrush bristle in it LOL

My OH hates prep. He painted our bedroom before we moved in, tiled windowsills which had been painted before, but he didn't wash them with sugarsoap, or sand them down. They had been cleaned with polish by the previous owner, you can tell by the way the paint has split.

Next time I do them I've got to get the Nitromors on them, strip them completely grrr

Lol Teresa...........I have to confess that just a bit of fluff and fuzz probably got mixed in with my paintwork..........with three cats and three dogs in the house it's difficult to avoid ..............lol

I love decorating, its the packing up, moving furniture, lifting carpets and prep that I hate, but you may as well not bother if you don't prep properly...

I think the worse aspect of decorating one area is that it shows up how foul everywhere else in the house looks.............lol

I'm SO pleased it's done though : ))

Go for it now Stray.........then you'll be pleased that you haven't got to do it after christmas : )

Four days !
We have spent the past four days decorating the hall and landing of our home .
Four days of being covered in paint splodges . Four days of getting on and off steps / chairs to reach the high bits .
Four days of hard labour.................lol

Now it's done...............and I think it looks far to posh for the likes of me............a veritable display landing : ))
