I've just noticed, actually, over the last few days the change in the colour of the trees. Been driving up and down to check on my photos and there is a definite difference in the look of the countryside now compared to three weeks ago when I put the work up. |

I love Autumn, but do find it somewhat melancholic... a time for reflection, and for planning ahead, of decay, but with the promise of new life ahead.... I always want to go into hibernation for a few weeks at the start of Autumn.... sort of like it feels a bit voyeuristic, watching a beautiful lady suddenly lose all her glory!! lol |

I like this time of year, but then I am an autumn born person. Always makes me think of jellies and jams, pickles and preserves. All the harvest that OH hase been growing all year on the allotment. Made some Apple and Chilli Jelly the other day, with some cookers a fellow allotmentor sent up. OH bringing up loads of onions and shallots for those lovely one-pot meals I am looking forward to cooking in the Aga bottom oven, whilst I get on with something else. That's if I can get near the door of the oven, for the dog. |
