How else can I describe my current state of mind as I sit here shaking, literally trembling . . . I am (almost) speechless !!
Thank you to so many for all your kindness, in assisting my family to raise the funds needed to adopt two Autism Service dogs for Sarah and Gareth, my grandchildren. I am so privileged to 'know' you all, there is a sense of caring here which truly has helped me maintain focus, rather than sit in a corner and bemoan my lot. It has become my mission to support my daughter, to help these children learn and develop their varied potential, and to support their two sisters age 9 & 12 , when the attention seems always directed to Sarah(11) and Gareth(8).
Thank you all (you know whom you are) from the bottom of my heart . What a surprise when this large pink envelope arrived at noon, with the most beautiful card (can you hear me saying "what in the world, why I am I receiving this card"), then I opened it, saw the names, a lovely letter from our Dutch, and the amazing, generous cheque enclosed.
How can I thank you - this is a huge help, and will be in the trust account later today.
From myself, Sarah & Gareth, their sibs Mary & Emlyn, their Mummy, Colleen and their Auntie Megan, thank you, thank you, thank you. Special thanks to Dutch for (apparently) being the driving force behind this huge surprise. Group hug now please, as I sit here in tears.
Blessings,
Mary

So glad it's arrived Mary, we have been on pins waiting for it to arrive. I can't write much as I am near tears as well for you so I will second everything Clairejo has said. It was a real pleasure to help, and hope you can get the dogs that little bit sooner.
Love to you and all your special family.
Thanks Dutch for everything you did.

Mary like Caz said, we have all been wondering where this cheque had got to, (has it been stuck in the postal service strike?).
I tried to phone you just now, as now I don't have to worry about letting the cat out of the bag!
Thank you to Dutch for taking on such a big job with the collection. I know she has worked very hard to try to add more to the fund. Mary I'm so happy for you all .xxxx

Nudging to repeat my profound gratitude, you will never know what a boost this has been to us, and not just financially. Some days it is very hard to keep going, to keep trying, to hold onto faint hope.
Today, I and my family have been hugged by 'the kindness of strangers'.
Bless your dear hearts.

Mary so very glad that it got to you safely and lifts a little of the burden of your sholdiers.
Dutch texted me at 1a.m. (Irish time) on wednesday to tell me to look at the thread, so came back on here and saw it.I did wonder why she was up so late as Holland are 1 hour ahead of us.
Hope that she gets well soon and is back on.
