Winter Drawers Ever Near

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 25 Sep 2009 22:20

have you noticed that quite a lot of the people who get picked for these reality shows seem to have a lot of skeletons in their closets.

The X Factor last week with the girl that Cheryl Cole did a duet with when she got a touch of nerves is supposed to be a sleazy lapdancer.

The sixteen year old cocky lad was a knife carrying menace in his local community.

I also learned that someone who was on Ladette to Lady broke a glass on holiday and pushed it into an innocent woman's face.

Whoever researches for these shows should be sacked.

Do we really want these sorts in our living rooms. Great examples to our young aren't they?

I read a *spoof* (chart throb by Ben Elton) which was based around the x factor type prog last week funnily enough.......and though I've never watched it myself......I could.....from what I'd seen in the media....figure out where it was all coming from.

Glad I never bothered as though it was supposedly fiction ....in a lot of ways it made an awful lot of sense xx

The sixteen year old lad is in a foster home, he deserves a chance doesn't he? His foster parents have given him so much support, and they believe in him. It's probably the first time he has ever experienced that.

I mean, if we said, those with a slightly dodgy background/circumstances should not be allowed on the show, then are we not condemning them to a life of more of the same, because it will knock their confidence badly.

We're not all able to pick ourselves up and get on with it, and nobody can do it unless they have a little self-belief.

As I say I don't watch it TW

But it's not how they're built up.......it's how they are knocked down that's the problem......

I'm just not convinced that the winner isn't decided from day one and s*d the rest xx

I don't think he has been done any favours by appearing on X Factor.

I really think he has been exploited.

If he is being fostered then why would Social Services even consider him being in the public glare. Surely they knew this would come out about his past. I think it is complete incompetence on their part to allow it.

I think it will hinder him rather than help him in the long run.

He should if he loves music and singing been found a place in a music school where he could be trained properly. Enter him in some talent shows and give him a good grounding and a work ethic. Then put him on X Factor.

He won't win and Simon Cowell did pull him up about his attitude. If it all goes t**s up will this be another rejection in his young life?

I think the producers deliberately choose people who have something in their past which can be written about in the media. It all helps to 'spice up' the show.

We had Big Brother here for eight years and it became more and more raunchy each year, until even the most broad-minded of viewers had enough. If they had left the housemates alone, the segments would have been boring at times, but at least it would have been real.Producers are only interested in competing with other chanels. I used to enjoy watching it but eventually was sickened by the way it was pieced together to give an impression which was totally unreal.

It came out about his past on the show anyways & on the show Simon said to him that he could see he doesn't like being told what to do & the boy said yes it was true.

I think so good can come out of it & he has a good voice

My post just went AWOL ......and I don't recall sending it to whooosh heaven.

soooooooo i suspect I've reached my medicine quota lol....and done it by accident.

Can't remember what I said........but it was along the lines of the masses believing what the producers want us to believe.......and something about Jade Goody too......but it's Waaay to deep for me for now......so I think it's time to say nite nites lol xx

Start worrying Muffy when you type a reply to a thread and not only does it go woosh, you do too and wake up seven days later!

Great on here isn't it. Never a dull moment.

Take care.

Curtis (the cocky lad) admitted he was tagged - he even showed it - but doesn't he deserve a chance?
Simon Cowell (we know the judges have a pretty good idea of what/who they're dealing with) told Curtis what he had already admitted - doesn't like to be told - but if music really is his passion - he'll have to change his ways! Even if he doesn't get through the next stage - hopefully he'd have learnt something!
