GR member has vanished!

I'm confused! On 5 September I was sent a hot match. He appeared on 7 trees. I sent a message to one of the matches who happened to have the same name as the man I'm tracing (the others weren't relevant or I had previous contact). No reply although the open envelope logo suggests that the message was opened? A second message was similarly ignored (but, again, 'opened'). When I checked my messages today these two messages had vanished, so has any reference to the man I was writing to (now only 6 matches not 7). Am I to assume that this man is no longer a member of GR? Even if so, I'm surprised that my messages to him have been 'deleted'. Any ideas/explanation, anyone?

Thanks,

Geoff

Hi Geoff,
If a member deletes their account. Then all messages received & sent are also deleted. Unfortunately this includes any messages from you that you may have sent to them.

Also when an envelope of a message sent turn into the opened envelope. It doesn't necessarily mean that they've read it. This also occurs when someone deletes unopened messages.

Regards,
Steve.
