Shazzlou, I agree with Merlin. I love these dogs, and have considered them, myself, but I think that, at least in my area, they are overbread. Scout you local papers, and take your time, and look for someone who is not an actual breeder, but who'se dog has had puppies. Good luck |

have rang a couple of ads over the last few days & 2 of them were places in Wales offering to deliver puppies but would rather visit and pick my own and see where they coming from as Wales is rife with puppy farms. |

All the rescue centres have lots of beautiful puppies/dogs in need of a good home. Perhaps you could consider one of those and love it as you would a westie. |

I agree about the rescue centres. My sister has had a dog from one. I am a bit reluctant though as my son is 8 and bit wary of having a dog whose background i know little of. Puppies at rescue centres are hard to come by. |

I have had 2 dogs from rescue centres. One was a puppy(not a Westie though),and both were wonderful. My second one (the pup) is now 10.have you looked in your local paper ,or put an advert in pet shops. Please don't go for an advert that advertise all sorts of pups,it could be a puppy farm. |

Shelters are full of unwanted dogs, why go to a breeder, check out your nearest shelter, you could even find a westie,if you really are that desperate for a pedigree! |
