Just going to work so will look in later today.
Does anyone know if I can phone and text with my phone which is quad band, while in Florida? I am pay as you go. Do you need a certain amount of credit? Do you need to let the network provider know? I;m with O2
Thanks

Thank you all very much. Last year in Ohio I received texts messages and sent them (some what hit and miss) with a tri band phone. But couldn't make phone calls. That phone now replaced with a quad band, I hoped would work just in emergencies. I can ring my cousin in Ohio from England, but not text her with the quad band phone.

I've not come across quad band or tri band phones.

I have am O2 contract and I can use it anywhere in the world, if I care to pay the connection fee.

If you don't know what you can or can't access or what it will cost you why not speak to your supplier and ask them?

Hi
get intouch with your provider and make sure you have roaming activated on your a/c, if you don't you won't be able to make or recieve calls or texted whilst you are. Also check with them what the costs will be and the coverage in the area you are going to.

Another thing to be careful of is your answerphone. If somebody does ring you it is better to answer the call rather than let it go to your answer service as this will cost you to retrieve it and you will also be paying the call to be diverted to your answer service.

Thank you, I'll do that.

In the Argos book it tells you where tri and quad band phones work, but looks like I need to speak to provider also
