I can empathise to a certain extent, ie pulling up jeans, because of torn and stretched muscles in right shoulder. Huuuuge ( hug ) :-)

Hi Muffy, I really sympathise with you, I've had this for thirty years,

Have you tried acupuncture?? If not, ask your GP if he can organise some on national health. Believe me, it is wonderful, after two or three sessions you really feel the difference.

Hope you feel better soon, Love Nina.

*whimpers* I need to join poorme.co.uk I think lol.

Only managed two lots of half an hour sleep last night......OH even had to call my Dad out to to me at 4am as he thought I may have to go to hospital as I couldn't even sit down....I'd nodded off on the sofa and my leg had locked badly because I'd tried to turn myself over in my sleep.........made things soooooo much worse.

Dad adopted a *tough love* policy and after 15 minutes of my shouting obscenitites at him for making me persevere with the pain it suddenly became half bearable......As a result I'm now sofa bound (cannot lie down) surrounded by cushions and am barred from moving a muscle (except to go to the loo and I need to be helped to walk there too lol). My lovely friend spent the day with me waiting on me hand and foot and making me laugh.....BUT.....I am not enjoying this one bit.

Just about to take my Diazepam.......so hlep is on it's way !!! xx

Having suffered for 17 years with back problems i have learned a few self help tips along the way.
When seated put something like a phone directory under your feet so your legs make a right angle, this helps to lessen the pull on your thigh muscles, roll a towel up and put it in the small of your back when seated this helps to keep your back straight and stop you from rolling your lower spine into the chair.
When you get out of bed the first few steps you take should be backwards this helps to wake up the muscles and ligaments before you put the heavier pressure on them that you do when walking fowards.
I know these sound wierd be hey if they work who cares!
when the pain is more under control get a couple of those plastic tumble drier balls place them between you and the wall and gently roll yourself in small circular motions , this is fab for deep muscle massage.
best of luck with the pain control x Izzy
