Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 30 Sep 2009 08:15

until last week, 100% English - then I found a name that HAS to be 'foreign' - either German or Dutch. not sure if I'm excited or disappointed! it's back before 1800 so I probably won't be able to find anything more on it. so I would say 98% English (I've got quite a big tree lol)

Just wondering...(Given that it is raining and freezing cold outside thought I'd explore the following idea...)

Has anyone worked out the percentage of where their family members have originated from?

For instance my tree is as follows (approx only):

English - 15%
Scottish - 55%
Welsh - 15%
Irish - 5%
Australian - 10%
American - 5%

Just curious how families have emigrated etc across the word over the years.

Cheers

Rachelle
