My brother, who I see about once every 2yrs, was here this week. and I was telling him what exercises I do. He thought I was a bit old to be doing sit-ups so I said I would show him. Slid off my chair to the floor, forgetting that our chairs are the high-seated kind. I lost control and went down with a real bump on my Bum!
Managed to show the sit-ups, but it hurt!. He then had to match me with the sit-ups, not the bump, though he had a job to get up. What a way for 2 over 70's to spend the evening!
PS, my bum still hurts lol

I meant to make you laugh, it WAS funny, but my btm is still uncomfortable and I need a soft cushion! Shouldnt be so competitive, should I?

Well, have learnt my lesson! Am hardly able to walk today, very painful. Will be going back to the GP tomorrow in hopes that he can do more to help. Even Oh is sorry for me!

Oh dear, hadn't realised you were still suffering Jean. Now how are you going to explain to the doctor - will he keep a straight face do you think?

l understand the doctor is coming to you, good thing too you must be very uncomfortable, l do hope he can sort things out, change the pain killers perhaps, spose there's not much else he can do. Do you think you have chipped a bone, if you have it can't be bandaged.:o((..... just rest!!!!

No. he couldnt help but laugh, but I Have known him for 30 yrs! Was very sympathetic and has given stronger pain relief, told me it will take time and to take a bit more rest, something I rarely do as I am usually running after other people. Got to move a bit or I will seize up!
Jude, thats a funny sight, me being bandaged there! No , he said even if I had chipped a bone there was nothing which could be done, obviously not having broken my hip or my femur.

Oh Jean, you did make me laugh.

My dear old Grandad could still cock his leg above his head at 89, he was as thin as a rake, and walked everywhere. Unfortunately I am like Gran, short and round, but can still cock my leg up high at 78.

Could we send some ((((hugs)))) to Jean as she is suffering abit with her bruised rear end. We should have gone out yesterday to Hereford but Jean was'nt up to it and the new pain killers created other problems.
Jean is'nt one to complain so she must be uncomfortable!!

Not feeling any more comfortable, but am getting the hang of walking with two sticks! Now have a sore place on my left palm from gripping the stick too tight!
I dont think I have ever had anything that stopped me from walking about, before. Even with severe angina, I could walk. Pain relief seems to have affected my spelling too! Keep having to go back and correct myself, lol
