Dear All

Hello

One for the ladies, maybe but no discrimination on me posts!!

What face products do you use?
Like cleanser and moisturiser?

Do you use a face pack?

Any bad experiences from beauty goods? Or do you use some home made ones?

Oh and what age was you, when you adopted a beauty regime?

All replies welcome.

Best wishes to all
xx

As beauty is only skin deep I've never really gone in for a " beauty regime ".

As a teenager I had a few goes with a facepack and discovered that I think I'm allergic to Lanolin , as one of them felt like my face was on fire . Another time I used a mud one . I layed on my bedroom floor to relax for the required length of time but must have nodded off . When I eventually sat up I freaked myself out by being confronted with an image in the mirror that looked like a zombie..................lol

I smoke , I'm forever gardening in the sun and my kids tell me I don't look anywhere near as old as I am................lol

I am fine thanks Hazel...But beautiful I am NOT.
I was, as were we all at one time.
I never worried about getting old , or worried about wrinkles etc.....BUT.
I always had nice hands, long strong nails, slim fingers.......NOW?

Slim fingers still, but all wrinkly!!!!
When I go to a public loo and use the air drier to dry my hand.... I am always quite amused watching my skin wriggling in the wind! ha ha ha

I use the word 'beauty' reservedly in my cas lol!!!

I know what you mean about the air driers Deanna, fun aren't they, I always expect my skin to peel off with them.

I use very little makeup day to day, just Boots, Botanics, tinted moisturiser which has a small amount of sun protection (use sun screen if I am in full sun as does my OH on his face). Also when I go out a pale lipstick. Rarely wear eye makeup as my eyes water if I wear it, never wear mascara, sometimes do wear eye shadow. sometimes in the winter wear a little blusher.

About once, sometimes twice a year have a facial (usually when on holiday), rarely use face packs, although never say never, I have done.

Yes i agree with you Deanna ,
i also look at my hands under the dryer ..lol
like you strong slim fingers but now wrinkly......nails brake easy
just get them a nice length and then they break and split .. oh well never mind lolol

Ann in Glos ,
like your OH mine has to put on a sun screen ..
before he goes out in the sun , he got skin cancer last year when he was painting the outside of the bungalow just above his eye . so now he wears sun screen all the time .

have used baby lotion as moisturiser for 60 yrs, but am now using Simple products, though I dont like their shower cream. Have an ancient pot of creme rouge which I use when I look like a sheet and am expecting to see anyone. Use lip balm, but always used to use yardleys or Ponds lipstick, but am too pale to look good in it now. My skin is often commented on and I have less lines than many 20yrs younger. Have never smoked or worked in a smoky atmosphere, which I think helps.

My OH wears sun screen on his face because he was coming home from golf with a really red face and he plays three times a week.

Hi, do any of you use the Skin Wisdom range from Tesco? I read some good reviews but haven't tried it yet, as I don't live in UK. Am prepared to buy a couple of items next time I'm over, if they are recommended. Meant to be very good value - would welcome your comments!

I seem to mix and match. I sometimes use Boots No 7 Soft and Smooth cleanser but the toner doesn't suit me, then I've got the Clarins orange based exfoliating facial scrub (I forget the proper name) which is about £16 but works OK for me, and I've just got myself the Organic Source Blissful Moisturister (£7.99 at Boots) which is lovely - it's got a really natural scent.

I really like the Sanctuary range, too - I've just run out of the body scrub so I need some more! I'm not keen on their Spa Essentials body lotion but I like the Mande Lular one because there's a lot in the tub so it lasts a couple of months.
