Val, good artist too
I remember when I worked in a record shop in the seventies he released an album with libretto, illustrated with his own paintings...Lowry-esque

Wondering why RR has time to watch afternoon TV?
Washing/h-w finished and ancestors all sorted?

I've been to visit mother!
So just made a reviving cuppu and waiting for it to cool.

A lovely man, and I can recall no scandals attached to his name. One in a million!

Glad to know he's still going strong, I'm very proud to say I'm related to him, something like second cousin once removed, well something like that lol

Ooooo I remember Tommy Steel coming out of the Gaumont Cinema in Cardiff where he had been singing and I was right up at the back of "The Gods" like a pigeon on the rafters!!
I just said " Hi Tommy love your records and he kissed me!!!!!!! I said I wasn't going to wash my face ever again!!!
He was there with is Cavemen as his group and Freddie and The Dreamers were the 2nd Act. Oh those lovely lovely days of Coffee bars and Juke boxes and Rock 'N Roll"
