I've just nudged Ice Ice Baby's thread about this, which has the BBC news link .............

There only seems to be any risk if folk have been 'dupped' into revealing security details etc .....

As printed in The Sun. More than 10.000 Hotmail users have had their passwords Hacked into and posted online it was reported today. The data of thousands of Brits appeared on a code-sharing website, they included accounts ending"@hotmail.com ,@msn.com and @live.com. Technology blog neowin net said the details had been removed, but urged people to change passwords and security questions.Hotmail owner Microsoft is investigating. That is verbatum from the paper.**M**.

Am I right in thinking it is only if you have been silly enough to give out your bank details or passwords, that you need worry?

Marion

From the radio report i heard at 1pm, that seems to be what Microsoft are saying - it hasn't been a breach of their security, it's only where folk have responded to emails containing dubious/bogus links ...........
