Hi all, can anyone help, new to site, I'm looking for any living relatives of my father, Joseph Burns who died 1965 aged 25(Liverpool). He was married in 1963 to Sybil Sullivan, I'm trying to find out about his mother and father and I think he had sisters.

There were 3 Joseph Burns' born in Liverpool around the same time One at the end of 1939, and two during 1940. Have you any idea what his mother's maiden name might have been?

Hi thanks for the help, I don't know his mothers name, although the date he died was 14/08/1965 and he was 25 at the time, and i think he had two sisters one was a midwife, his mother and father might still be alive, sorry I can't be more informative but as a child I was never told much. Thanks.

If you buy the marriage certificate for the marriage to Sybil Sullivan that will give you his father's name. You will then be able to look for marriages for that name in the years before he was born and see if any of the marriages for his father's name match any of the mother's maiden names for the births of Joseph Burns around 1940.
