What did you all think??
They all sound plausible leaders until their turn as PM comes.
I reach for the vomit bowl once wives enter into the fray - although I was sorry they lost their son.

I'm afraid I am very cynical about speeches made at the annual conferences pre election. Promises promises!!!

I think they are all full of s***.
One of my Dads' sayings is never trust a politician, I am inclined to agree with him.

All of them, but ALL of them are a load of untrustworthy money grabbing, cheating, fiddling, scrounging, dishonorable, liars.
I just cant believe a single word any of them come out with.

Well i am an old cynic !! but when they try to play the sympathy vote then all it does is makes me squirm. Much the same as Gordon Browns wife saying what a good guy he is and how she loves him !
Well as Mandy Rice Davies said "he would say that wouldn't he" lol ( the profumo affair for younger viewers)

Dear All

Hello

I have not seen one politician give a straighforward answer to simple questions.

When any of them talk about " cuts and hard decisions", this always means ordinary people suffer more.

It really disgusts me the way the vulnerable are picked on.
The division between the rich and poor has never been so wide and it is a wound I don't feel any politican is concerned with.

Best wishes to all
xx

I don't know how David Cameron can say he will give the troups in Afghanistan EVERYTHING they need, and then say he will cut public spending by 25% - which I imagine will include MOD spending.

I just think he says whatever he thinks the public wants to hear.

Personally I like Gordon Brown, although I think he should have been elected as PM rather than just take over the job. I think he's done as much as anyone could to get us out of the mess the greedy bankers in America got us into.

Despite a lot of people saying otherwise, I've always felt Gordon Brown is more sincere than many of the politicians spouting forth. Alright, he has made mistakes but I think he is less scathing that the other leaders and whilst sympathising with the Camerons over the loss of their son, it was probably always known that the little lad wouldn't make old bones. The Browns lost their baby daughter almost at birth so have known heartache too. At least GB can relate a little more to the ordinary people of the country and I think should have more time in office to continue the way he is working towards a better quality of life for many. I think he is often led into some daft ideas and changes being made that aren't practical but he has to be given more of a chance to see things through.
One thing that scares the life out of me is the thought of Tony Blair getting any more power than he already has as I have never been able to stand the pompous man and his awful wife.

I think we will all have to wait and see what happens next year - there will never be a time when we have a PM we can entirely trust but then, what's new?
