Hi can anyone help please, I have found a document that may or not be to do with the person i'm looking at at present. To confirm it belongs to the right person i need to know where the Recruiting Office 80th Regimental District Nelson was. The person I'm currently trying to trace is a George William Blades born c1877, Kensington, London.

Thank you in anticipation

Can you explain a bit more about the document please? What does it actually say and what's the date on it? Happy to have a look at it if you can scan and email to me.

Hi to everyone whose replied,

I'm not hiding any info it is just the recruiting office document for a George Blades, it states he's a bricklayer, 40yrs old and that he is being recruited into the royal engineers and it's dated 11/10/1917. If the recruiting office is in the North of England I doubt it relates to my George Blades, as from the information I have been given they were London based and some members of the family moved south west.
George has remained very elusive as have many of the Blades family I'm researching!
I am at present unable to scan any docs as scanner being repaired, but thank you for your kind offer.

Regards

Chris

Now you've given the details I see you got the record on Ancestry. There are actually more pages. The man was actually living in Nelson, as was his father whose name was Geoffrey. Perhaps that will clarify whether he's your man or not.
