Just watching it on FX....just out of curiosity. I'm in stitches here. Sam Tyler has just turned up in 1973 in a peice of waste ground in New York, beside a Starsky and Hutch car. Inside is an 8-track playing Bowie. He's told to move on by a cop, and after saying he needs his cell, to be asked by the cop, 'sell what?' He turns around to see the Twin Towers standing!

Now, I think it was to produce shock, i just found it incredibly funny. :-))

TBH after that beginning I found the rest of it totally unbelievable and boring.

But I can also see that to just show the British version, the humour and irony just wouldn't have been understood.

I saw nothing about aliens last night, it pretty much followed the same story as the Brit, just not as well.

Then again, I think my eyes glazed over about half way through so I might not have noticed.LOL
