What is Cilla doing in your loft Hayley ? ( has visions of opening Hayley loft hatch and seeing the ageing celeb saying " Surprise suprise "........lol

Thank you Muffy : )) I can't decide which hobby to plunge into first.......lol
I've had my eye on that room for years : ))

SueMaid.........music had that effect on my Mum , when I was little I was playing with our record played and put on " Bells Across the Water " Mum burst into tears and I thought I'd done something terribly wrong but she explained it just made her miss her Dad and that it was ok .

Funny how grief can pop up unbidden and stab you right in the heart but I'm glad it does because it shows that the love goes on .

Awwwww the smell of Hamlet cigars has the effect on me Amanda.....reminds me of my Old Grandad....makes me feel he's in the room.........then heartbroken that he's not....if that makes sense?

Today I have mainly been in and out of my loft , sorting out boxes of long forgotten " treasures" . I find the loft and its contents tends to cause at least one emotional outburst , this time it was bought on by one of my late Mums tablecloths ( she was a hoarder of such items , unfulfilled dreams of having a tearoom ....lol ) . I was quietly sorting though them when I made the mistake of smelling one , smell can just transport me back like no other sense can .
I had a good old sob ( with the tablecloth over my head..........lol ) and felt much better for it .
I got lots sorted today , all my wool and fabric , paints and brushes are now out of loft storage and in my newly acquired " hobby room " ( courtesy of son having vacated his room ).

A new era awaits me : ))
