Little ones and animals are lovely, aren't they?
Guy is gentle with the cats once he's near them - he even makes his voice higher and softer. It's just the initial excitement when he thunders in screeching Meow at the top of his voice!

BTW - I'm known as Grandma Meow!

Our Cleo woke up yesterday afternoon to find she was face to face with our 14 month old grandson. Her face was a picture! He was really gentle, stroked her ears and she just stayed stock still! I'd love to have read her mind, I bet it was on the lines of 'One False Move, Sonny, and...'

I've noticed a certain 'frissance' between the cats this past week - Betty following me everywhere and neither George nor Betty staying in the same room as Mr, and when I tell Mr off for grabbing either of the other 2 - he acts like I've belted him - flinches and runs off - sign of a guilty conscience methinks!

I think I've worked out what caused the 'dominance' war between the boys.
The weekend before, I'd stayed away and my friend had come over to look after them.
Don't know what's so hard about - 'Put the food into the 3 bowls' - but I noticed she'd put the morning food (1 can betwen 3) into 1 bowl - and there's no way the 3 of them could have eaten out of that at the same time - so someone had to claim territory!

The other night when I was feeding them, Mr Miu - who isn't normally around at feeding time - was there.
I normally feed them George, Betty then put food in Mr's bowl. However, as he was there, I fed them George, Mr then Betty (she has no dominance issues). However, Mr went around and pushed George away from is bowl.
I established dominance by picking the little blighter up and moving him.

Later that evening, all 3 were in the living room - big space between them all, and I sat there and read the riot act - I know they can't understand me - but it felt good - and I didn't have a friendly tone!
Harmony is slowly being restored - Mr & George actually touched noses when I was stroking both of them in the garden this morning!

Grandson (22 months) is coming over later - that should put the fear of god into all of them!! LOL

The little darling has obviously recovered!

I lost Danny last week (as I said on your other thread). I peered over the wall, getting scratched by a pyracantha in the bargain, and saw him 'sunbathing' in the neighbours' garden. How he gets over walls with his weak back legs we can't imagine, but he does it. He has strong front legs now, they seem to compensate for the rest of him!

bless him sounds like he is feeling better and over his ordeal my alice was a little sod last nite kept me awake half the night trying to climb on places she shouldnt have been

George (the cat who was 'duffd up' by his brother last week) is obviously feeling much better!
Before he was hurt, he'd started sleeping on my wardrobe - thus stopping me putting the suitcase that normally lived on there away.
This morning I decided I could put it back up.
This, of course meant George decided he was fit enough to jump back up - but realised he couldn't.
So, he tried the wardrobe in the spare (junk?) room - that is piled high with my youngest's stuff - and has a chest of drawers next to it with books, and more of youngest's junk on it.
He got up there - probably didn't like it and jumped down onto the chest of drawers, knocking everything off!!!
