Does anyone know if there is a book about the Nottinghamshire watermen ie men who worked on the river etc. I have just found out that one of my some many times great grandfather was a waterman according to his sons 1849 wedding certificate. So can anyone help me? His surname is a common one White so I was wondering if he was in it and maybe some info on his family might have been in it as well. Thank you in advance if you can help. |
