red cross records of the fallen

i remember reading a few months ago that the red cross had found records of the fallen from ww1 soldiers up to now who had no known grave.These records accounted for many unknown graves
does any one know if it is possibly to access them

I remember hearing that on the news or something... will be good when they finally can sort them..
Didn't someone in the french village where they are say something like.. nobody has ever asked ?
