Susan.... I do hope it was a figment of the reporter's imagination.... but I bet this one is all too true, unfortunately.... the law according to whassisname, that would be.....

Bob, I was once named as the person on duty at an incident.... however, I had left the job and gone to another a couple of weeks before..... I never got a retraction, and neither the reporter nor the newspaper apologised.... it was a local paper in Gloucester/Cheltenham... and the reporter was a regular... nasty little man........

Amanda, my son was involved in an accident which left him with spinal injuries and severe internal injuries.... the driver, his friend, had mild facial injuries... the cause of the accident, an elderly lady in a brand new top of the range Yaris walked away without a scratch.... and my son was described as the driver, the cause and having just mild injuries, lol I was furious.... I would so love to meet up with her...... really, I would.

Lol Blue Moon........ I just don't buy them unless it is for a specific reason.....

Fiona.... even then I wouldn't be tempted...... unless, as I said, there was a good reason for it!

The only news paper that I buy is our local one and even they are not to fussed if they get the news wrong . I have had the personal experience of having a news item that involved myself ( in a road accident many years ago )....being totally incorrectly reported .

I believe what I see with my own eyes these days...........lol

Blue Moon Report 15 Oct 2009 14:18

I've not bought a news paper for over 25 years,
I stoped because you couldn't belive anything in them,
(apart from the date ) ....nothing changes.

quite often they dont appear to be able to hear the truth!!

one time a paper printed some pictures of a mate of mine and some radio controlled model gliders.
the story said that he was an instructor, wrong!!! he HAD been a fullsize glider Pilot but was never qualified as an instructor..

in fact as far as the model flying was concerned, I was the more experienced, and I had been teaching Him to fly

when pulled up about it,

the paper claimed something like poetic licence
