Len of the Chilterns Report 15 Oct 2009 23:05

I lost interest in such things by the time I was ten but a contemporary of mine still runs a set-up in his garden shed. He wants to while away the winter months playing train-orientated games on a pc - of which he has no experience and would have to learn

He recently visited a well-known chain store who want to sell him a well-known brand of desk-top with 400gb hard disc with 4gb Ram which, to me, seems a bit over the top for what he wants to do.

Is anyone knowledgeable about this sort of thing who could advise ?

Dont know about trains games, Len but I would have thought that a set up suitable for a Basic flight simulator would be about right for trains.......also depends on how deep is his pocket, and how much for the setup on sale.....
