It looked to me as tho she let go to hitch up her trousers actually, probably done unconsciously but a lesson to put the brake on to all people with prams and buggies, when stopped . |

Watched the video, and couldnt believe the baby survived. Dont think the mother was really at fault, there must have been a slope on that platform. |

Liz, the mum had hold of the pram almost all the time... she released it for a second... I think accidentally, while she looked around to see if there was a seat spare... she certainly wasn't intentionally leaving the pram unattended with the brake off. She wasn't distracted by chatting to someone, or anything like that, or generally paying no care or attention... you see her looking around, handle firmly in her hands..... and then that quick look behind as she edged back towards the seat......and she was pulling the pram with her to start off with.... she did not let go intentionally. |

I just saw that on the news but hadn't realised the baby survived. What a miracle! |

I've just had a look at this - it's a miracle the baby wasn't killed. The poor mother looked distraught. I hope she gets over the shock as it must be terrible for her to have witnessed this. |

A baby has survived after his pushchair rolled onto the tracks as a train pulled into a station in Melbourne, Australia. |
