I got the same, minus the attachment. I guess they're hoping someone will come back with a reply that tells their story about a long lost rellie.

Perhaps GR were planning to throw a big party for all those who will be alone this Christmas! Yeah, right, with our money.

I filled the questionnaire in. The questions and choices for answers were ridiculous and then after filling it in I got Server Error too.

I didn't see any harm in the questionnaire but I couldn't see what use GR could possibly make of the answers which is why I didn't bother.

I got a similar email today from Genes with an invitation to fill in a questionnaire about keeping in touch with family and what I would be doing at Christmas.

I didn't see the point of the questionnaire so I didn't bother.

Wildgoose Report 17 Oct 2009 20:21

I got this email but mine had no attachment.

It was an invitation to answer a questionnaire. It seemed harmless enough so I filled it in - submitted it - and I get 'Server Error' or some such.

I gave up.

It was rubbish, anyway.

Never had anything from GR in three years except the standard notification that there is a message waiting on here for me .... be cautious !

Jorvikmik Report 17 Oct 2009 20:03

I received an email from [email protected] with 'Old Mick, don't hibernate this winter' in the subject line and a 6.42kb htm attachment but nothing in the email content section.

I haven't opened the attachment and the email filtering marks it as likely to be SPAM but in all other ways it looks genuine.

If it is from GR then I am less than impressed and wonder why it is sent as an attachment.

Anybody else had the same?

Mick
