Agree with you Jim. I'm 53, my mum is 78 - I'm definitely a different generation!!
I also neither live in the South East nor South West of England, I live in the South! Why can't Hampshire be where it is instead of aligned with Kent or London? Must be even more frustrating for those on the Isle of Wight!

Would be more useful if it wasn't a 'tick the box' survey as well.

Have you lost touch with a family member?
Have you lost touch...?
1. Have you ever lost touch with a family member?

Yes close family member/s

Yes extended family member/s (i.e. aunts, uncles, cousins)

No (go to Q 3)

My answer - only the ones I wanted to!!!

5. Do you have any family member who is likely to be alone this Christmas?

Yes

No

My answer - Hopefully me!! Can't stand all the cr*p - I don't drive, so if I see my family at Christmas someone has to remain sober to take me home - how selfish of me is that!
I see my relations throughout the year and we have a family party before Christmas - what's so special about 25 December? (apart from no public transport)?

I'm just calculating how much weight I should put on, in order to sleep until March.

That would solve the perennial struggle to heat or eat ! LOL
and not bother to send Xmas cards.... if there is any post !

Thanks Linsey. I wondered what I had missed! Looks like a few Brits are not included too! Can't see what they are aiming at, can you?
I agree with Jim - just provide the facilities and get on with it.

The E Mail entitled Jim Don't hibernate this winter

and then goes into the most infantile questionaire re Are you in contact with relatives The options available as answers are too narrow, and to band 51 year olds with 80 year olds is to totally misunderstand the likely lifestyles of these disparate age groups, and anything that is predominantly agist goes against the grain

What a patronising cheek. I shouldn't take too much notice of my answers. Or rely on me continuing my membership if this is the direction ythat Genes Reunited is heading. Concentrate on doing what you are good at and leave the rubbish to other sites
