I know this happened a few weeks nw but what are peoples views on Dannii Minogue OUTING a contestant on the show. Personally i think she should of been sacked for this and another pont i would add why is she even a judge on that show - her sister - Yes. What does Dannii know about Pop music its not as if she has made it to the top it is - ok whinge over

One has to wonder sometimes if remarks are somehow self serving ??
I think some of these "judges" really dont have the expertise to mentor the amateur hopefuls

I can't really understand why this is being brought back out again now... we debated it at the time.... it is hardly topical, now, old news, in fact.

Danni did not OUT that singer... the media had done, all week, in vicious and nasty comment, innuendo and downright sensationalising *reporting* and it was that, in my opinion, that Danni was referring to more than anything... she was horrified as she was saying it, at what it was coming over like....

Shall we discuss the apology, the explanation?

It probably wouldn't be believed anyway.

As for Danni's suitability.... she is as qualified as most of the football managers and suchlike... her sister might be the one who made it big worldwide, but Danni has done very well.... and had the same stage school training and background.

I think she is an excellent mentor and teacher for the *wannabe's* she works with.... yeh, she said something that many of us heard and were shocked at... but we didn't hear the discussions they all had re the vicious media reporting of a couple of the acts... of the mud raking etc....

She has done what many many of us have done.... opened our mouths without engaging our brain... and finding that words coming out did not sound the way they were intended to sound.... I have done that many times myself.

Shall we go and find some really important news, now... that the media is tucking away in one-liners at the bottom of pages.

Well, seeing as Daff has said it so well I'll just say I agree with Daff.

danni was still out of order though! no ones questioning her abilit to mentor or judge , but a persons personall life isnt in her job description , not nice to bring it up on live tv , it would defo influence a (sad) minority

That is the whole point, Disha.... I don't think she was commenting on his sexual orientation... I think she was commenting on the conversations she had shared backstage re the same and the way the media had been reporting things.... as she was saying it, she tailed off in horror as she realised how it would sound to those who hadn't heard the conversations... if that is clear (I know, as mud, lol)

And Disha... if you read back on some of the posts before mine, her ability to judge was actually under discussion, so it was most certainly being questioned.

Sorry Disha... I was just being a braggy granny... don't get to see her very often... she lives quite a way away from me... she is 3, lol And has just learnt how to print CeeBeebies stuff off on my puter.... all of it.... we have now run out of paper. Plus she has quite distinctive likes and dislikes on clothes... nothing matches, lol.... she'll probably be a fashion designer.... or a teenage rebel, lol If she follows Granny, it will be the latter ;¬))

LOL Out of order is putting it Midley - theres a couple of threads on here if you seach 'Danni'.

The response is a mixed bag of opinions which is one of the healthy things about this site. But I still wear my tin hat and say she should have been sacked for Gross Misconduct - instantly. Her apology was weak and she gained massive publicity.

Someone mentioned on here the show is now more about the judges than the applicants ...aint that the truth.

But if Danni worked for me she would be up for immeadiate dismissal, no written warning.

What had been said behind the scenes is irrelevant or should be to a judges opinion and that should be and the artists ability.

In the *real* world I promise you - there are no shortage of applicants for jobs and people should know to behave like that they can replaced instantly.

Oh my word....l completely agree with Daff:o)) the newspapers are always sensationalising and its very wrong. It sells the papers though and everyone rushes to look on the net etc so it makes money!!
