Raising cash for who? It's false economy as we the people end up paying for it anyway. It's like councils saying we've
made money by charging for car parking when in fact the public are losing money paying for parking and all the admin costs. We should have some say about this but they do their own thing.

The Government is proposing to include the Dartford Crossing in the asset-stripping sale to raise some cash.

The tolls will therefore remain in place withn the new owners making a profit.

Please lobby your MP, motoring organisation and any other interested parties to stop the sale even if you do not use the crossing yourself, as a large proportion of our imports and exports goes through there and the cost and delays affect everybody in the Country directly or indirectly.
Far from being institutionalised, the tolls should be removed.

I have put up a petition on the No. 10 website as well.

After reneging on the promise to make it free, flogging it off is an insult too far. All tolls have been abolished in Scotland, England should follow suit.


Please could this be nudged to keep it on the front page.
