Dear All

Hello

My GR membership is up for renewal soon.

What I want to still do is:

1. Look and research from the search trees and send messages, but I don't want to use search records.

2. Use the general and other boards to post messages.

Can anyone advise how much this costs?

Thank you for your help.

Very best wishes
xx

Elizabeth did you join for 6 months or a year? I have yearly membership which costs £9.95 as i have kept it continuously for three years now ...however if you had 6 months it will be £9.95 for another 6 months as GR changed the pricing and time scale.

Dear Rambling Rose and all

Hello

I paid over £34-00 as a gold member.
I am not paying that again.

I joined for a year.

The £10-00 amount sounds good.
I am confused what I could use on GR for this price.

Best wishes
x

It' is entirely up to You Elizabeth.

You either want to stay or you don't. Nothing any of us will say should persuade you otherwise. Those who can persuade you otherwise ...you should be able to Pm......Others?.....well!....what would they be able to do or say?

Dear Susan

I have already made up my mind to renew.

I am staying at GR.

I was simply asking for advice about what I could access and the prices.
That is all.

No fuss needed. I never mess around.

Don't bother with the gold membership - you can get whatever they let you have elsewhere - and in some cases for free!
Ordinary membership will enable you to search trees and post on the boards.

Just answering your thread heading Elizabeth.

doubt there are many of us ( could be wrong of course ) who use GR Gold. Maggie has said it all methinks.

Dear Susan

You answer was not in response to my thread heading.

I did not ask if GR members thought I should renew.
I had already decided.

If you look at the contents of my post, there is no doubt I am staying
at GR but I am asking about the prices and what you get for membership.

Like many newcomers, I did not know about the different sites and gold membership was offered.

As for the few GR members that don't like me or are snipey or sometimes
very nasty, I do not care.

Nothing and no one will prevent me from using the GR facilities
when I choose to.

Goodnight, Susan.

Hello Elizabeth,

I have been a standard member for a number of years now. I pay yearly and it costs me about $20 Australian - or the equivalent to UK 9.95.

I am not interested in increasing my sub as I have a sub with Findmypast. I was able to put my tree on GR and contact people via pm/hot matches when I was a 'free' member. The only advantage I see now is that I can talk to people here on the boards - but I have received some wonderful help with my searches here where I couldn't get it elsewhere. If the cost was more, I would consider not renewing, but whilst it remains as it is, I'm quite happy to renew my standard membership.
