On looking up two marriages, on two different sites I have found the information regarding place/county to be incorrect on one of the sites, . What is the protocol? Shoud this be reported to the site? As I know the correct place , not a problem for me, but if this has happened on others, as i suspect this to be the case, it is not so good. This is related to 1950-1965, I don't think one can blame bad writing,in this era. How do you report it?

if the site is 1837/find my past, email them with your concerns/corrections

I got a census transcription amended they had ages 10 years wrong.......they had accepted that the census takers' mark made them 18 and 17 instead of 8 and 7

err!! census,?? 1950--1965??

Presumably you are talking about the site's transcripts, and therefore the knock on effect on searches, rather than the underlying record?

Most sites do have a mechanism for reporting errors. I have used the one on Ancestry for Censuses regularly.

Do bear in mind that errors will always occur - anything better than a 95% success rate is considered good in many industry processes - even though it means there will be several thousands of incorrect entries.
