I remember, back in the days when we got sixpence for a tooth, that I swallowed one by accident with my rice krispies one morning. I howled the place down thinking the toothfairies wouldn't come and leave me sixpence. I hasten to add, I was only about 7 at the time, before Hayley comes up with a smarta*** comment.

Anyway, I guess the tooth fairy *ahem* felt sorry for me, and left me a shilling that night....

This just reminded my,my dad used to tell me that the fairies used the teeth to make knife handles. Perhaps being born in Sheffield with it's cutlery industry brought this about.
