does every Christmas now is that I can't buy my mum one of the nice 'mum' cards I see...and that I won't get a 'daughter' card. |

Same for me with my Dad Rose. Sad isn't it? But at least we can think of them and toast them at Christmas. |

I have felt like that about Christmas since I was a child, I did try and make the effect when I had my own children, I put a tree up till the kids asked for one the eldest said he thought we were JW..... I detest the time of year..and I cant wait till I am able to board a plane and sod off for 2 weeks and lie on a beech....youngest is 18 next year...so it wont be then as her Bday is the 23rd Dec, |

I light a candle for my mum and kind of 'dress the Christmas tree ' especially for her...she loved the tree and the lights but, lol , she hated Christmas :) always said "it doesn't seem like Christmas does it? ", mainly I think because when she was a child it was a really big family thing...all of the aunts, uncles and cousins and enough food to feed an army... |

Christmas doesn't bother me so much. It's New Year that I find hard. I feel we're moving on another year and leaving my dad further behind. |

I was thinking only this morning about the year my Mum let on that she'd always wanted a full size drum kit, well, couldn't do that so went out and bought her one of those kiddies tin ones with the two little wooden stick thingies, she loved anything silly like that. |
