LOL, when i was about 10, i started out with 2 female mice, within a couple of years i had about 30, not sure if we got the sex wrong or one was already preggy, so keep your eye on them.

Did you know......?. A bit of history fact here.....

In the war, they used to put parachutes on pigeons and relase them to drop to Allied forces, or wherever. Then the parachute was taken off, a message attached to pigeon's leg and it was released to fly off home.

I knew pigeons were used, but never thought about how they got to the right place until I visited the Imperial War Museum.

Lesson over....

LOL Cat, do NOT let my son hear that...he has one of those parachute harnesses that came on a small figure ...it may well fit a gerbil.......... !!

Gwyn, yes I think the gnawing has begun...it will keep their teeth down though :)

You are all soooo filling me with confidence lol,

we have just put a little wooden cabin in for them and watching what they make of it...Squeak is determined to get on the roof...while Bubbles seems not to realise the ladder is for going down as well as up ,and is hovering on the brink...about to do a deadly leap into oblivion.... oh my ! lol

Son asked if we could have gerbils again when his school had several babies.
We said we'd have 2, as long as they were the same sex.
Not sure where that biology teacher did his training, but we ended up with quite a few more than 2, once they lived with us.!
I hope your 2 remain 2
