Airfix Spitfire

Did anyone see James May with the kids, showing them about Airfix models, then getting them to build a lifesize Spitfire. I thought it was brill!!!!!!

Yes I saw it, thought it was a great programme and loved how the kids eventually were working as a team. Did you see it is going into the Cosford Air museum?

Yes. Am glad they got some ex pilots there to see it. The kids were really pleased in the end and deserved their applause.
Can't wait for rest of series.

what a project, at what cost I wonder?

didn't it look shaky going over the hanger doors threshold!!

good to see the kids got together as a team............(AND some of the Dads, who probably are still boys inside)!!!

BTW that two seater Spitfire that Caroline Grace owns, was the subject of a documentary, being rebuilt from a pile of virtually scrap parts......I still have the video of the program..........
