They'd better bl**dy not do !!!! I'll be an ol misery and phone the community police officer and take a pic of them to show him if any child or teenager comes here to throw eggs !!!! and I don't care WHAT night it is either.

I once had to spend £150 having a car door resprayed because some sap thought it was funny to throw eggs at it.

I won't be impressed one bit if it happens again !!!

Luckily I live in a small cul de sac so usually we're pretty much undisturbed.......

My children WILL NOT be celebrating mischief night that's for sure !!! xx

Muffyxx Report 30 Oct 2009 12:01

That's true Stray.....My two are only allowed to the top of our road so I'd see them if they were misbehaving lol.

I'd report them regardless of whether it's me or an elderly person.targetted...don't give a monkeys ...xx

If they try it around here my mutts will be out on patrol.

Second thoughts I value them a bit too much I will just let them bark at the fence.

No doubt there will be some although it isn't a Spanish thing.

Muffyxx Report 30 Oct 2009 12:14

I DO take my girls trick or treating but I only go to houses where it's clear that they WANT visitors.....pumpkins out the front or decorations etc. We do it for about an hour.....and we're home before 7pm.

We'd be stuffed if they asked for a trick cos we don't have any lol.

think Trick or Treat is an American thing, not the same as the old misscheif night of old.

Julia Report 30 Oct 2009 12:35

I'm sure I put this on here last year, but here goes again.
Some years ago when I was a child, (well almost 60 phew), we celebrated Trick or Treat where I lived, on an island off the West Coast of Scotland. But it was different, very different to what they do today. There was definitely no egg and flour throwing.
What we did, was this. A group of children, may 6 to 8 of us, went round in a group to peoples houses, knocked on the door and said the obligatory "Trick or Treat", and you were invited in, if they wanted you to come in. Then, you had to perform, say a song or a poem or recitation, and they would give you a silver sixpence each. Then you would be invited to a drink, (squash) and a cake, or similar. It was all very civilised. I do not know where this egg and flour thing came from
Hope they do not knock on my door tonight, as we do not answer them. They do not seem to do it in the right spirit of things, the same with carol singers. OH's biggest worry is that they may scrawk down the length of his car. To him that would be worse than them smashing in the front window. Yes he is getting sad in his old age, I have said it for a long time.
For those going to anything organized, please enjoy
Happy Halloween
