I think that children in Northern Ireland have trick or treated for years. I suspect that's because they don't have Guy Fawkes night.

Well I have never heard of mischief night! They had better not try it here or else they will get a) a rollicking b) a flying crutch aimed at their heads c) a visit to their parents :-)))))))

I don't mind the little ones tomorrow night, it's the teens that get up my nose.
When OH had his albino boxer (complete with red eyes) the buggers used to get a trick...lmao The little ones got choccies.

Sue xx

Edit: Sylvia mine were never allowed even though we knew everyone in the tiny hamlet. They had enough goodies handed to them when they went delivering the Christmas cards!

I too have never heard of Mischief Night.I better get some sweeties in for tomorrow ,just in case we get anyone knocking. We never do though as there are no children down my road and it is a bit far from the houses further up.Not well lit either. So it will be me and my daughter (if she is in) stuffing our faces with goodies lol
I do remember running up and down our road as a youngster with a sheet over me flapping my arms and making scary noises .I probably scared myself more than anyone else lol

Maddiecow Report 30 Oct 2009 19:21

I thought it was tomorrow night, Ive got some sweets in, we dont really get many problems where we live, and most of the kids are supervised by parents. But I always worry about the cars - mines not a problem - just a run the mill town car, but its our estate I worry about, we dont have a garage and Im always worried kids will damage it cos it stands out a bit where we live and they kids dont realise how hard you work for things or how much their damage costs! and as both on the drive I worry if we dont answer the cars are there under the light.

But woe betide any kid that comes knocking when X-Factors on tomrrow night! That will be the limit :)
