Dear All

Hello

This festival marks the onset of winter. The harvest is gathered and there is a need to rest and renew.

It is generally observed on October 31st in the Northern Hemisphere, starting at sundown.

It is a time to remember the lives of those who have passed on, and it often involves paying respect to ancestors, family members, friends, pets and other loved ones who have died.

Reassessment of your life, looking to the future and defence and protection are festival themes.

This time also marks the the beginning of the celtic new year.
There is a need to look back over the year and to let go.

Take care of yourselves

Very best wishes
xx

Hope you have a positive Samhain, Elizabeth.
Though not a Pagan, I live by their creed - 'Do what you will, but hurt no other'.

Thankyou for that Elizabeth, I will indeed think of those who have passed and try for 'closure' on some of the events of the past year .

Maggie "'Do what you will, but hurt no other'. sounds like a good idea :)
