A good cyber friend of Dizzi has died of Cancer, she put up a post saying that her oh could not understand why she was crying over someone she had never met. Many people posted, including Gill, saying that they understood her grief. Uggers posted doing the same and then added an attack on Gill.
I saw the post & as I knew just how upset Dizzi was about her friend & did not want the thread to turn whilst she was down here for the weekend without an internet connection, so sent Uggers the following pm:
....................................
Uggers ... I know we do not always see eye to eye about things, but you are one of the people who really understands how upsetting it is when you lose a cyber friend.( She was only in her 40's ... the big C won!!)!

Dizzi is upset enough without her thread being turned, please can I ask you to remove your comment to Gill ...

Dizzi cannot ask you herself as she is away from her pc ... down here

Dizzi had heard about the post, I told her about my post to Uggers & that his post had now gone. She asked if she could use my pc to log in to thank him & as the friend was someone he knew she told him who it was. (She thought it polite thing to do)
The reply was certainly not polite!!!

I did not realize that deleted pm’s show as opened, how was I? It is a rather strange thing as when we send a pm to a tree contact we do not know whether they have even read it!
I admit to making assumptions, but Dizzi really did not deserve to be treated in that way.
The comments made by some on Uggers new thread show just how caring they really are to other grieving members.

I never said the reply was polite, although *nasty pm* was an over dramatisation.

As it happens, while I was sorry about the GR member's death as I said, I don't know the member.

Many people on here were upset by Gill turning the support thread for Jean but that didn't stop you defending her.

Don't worry about apologising for your accusation. Don't want it, wouldn't accept it.
