......My Son who is 12 has decided to make a pumpkin pie now bearing in mind he has never cooked before.

My OH is with him making a soup already from when we come back from trick or treating

I made some pumpkin soup last year. Never before have I tasted anything so disgusting!

Here in Oz, most people wouldn't think of having a roast without baked potatoes and pumpkin - along with other vegetables - but always the potatoes and pumpkin!

Pumpkin is also boiled in salted water and eaten either plain, or mashed (with a little butter).

Pumpkin soup is popular when it has cream added to it, but pumpkin pie is considered more of an American favourite.

Duncan...................My OH puts pumpkin in when he makes a West Indian soup so you can't really taste it lol
