have you ever noticed that the hot matches, rarely are?
I have people matched to their names and dates.... but how do I have any connection between *Joe Dokes* born in Ireland and *Joe Dokes* born in Jamaica?

Dear [email protected]/ZA?
I sympathise with your frustration, but..........
until Genes install a database of all possible places of birth and the tree builders use them correctly, there is NO way that "places of birth" can be used as a checking point,
for instance not everyone knows where their rellie was born/registered so, like me they guess, bethnal green can be written B green, Beth green,
or maybe just london, or was that east london? or middlesex? or even more vague england/UK/ britain.....
so until that happens we will have to accept that " un/ Educated" guesses will rule.............methinks.......

good hunting anyway......

Oh come on Bob..... could you mistake Blantyre, Scotland for..... JAMAICA??

and as a matter of fact, I am recording places from certificates so I do know who's who and what's what.

I used to be so excited every time the hot matches were printed, but now they just give me a pile of unnecessary work which I really do not need.

Ah well, back to my clearing jobs.

methinks you missed what I was trying to say, Deanna

place of birth doesnt come into the check, so whatever is there......is there, not part of the check.......
