On ny fathers death certificate, the information is wrong,BDM in Australia has told me I can not have it amended because Iam not next of kin,My stepmother will not budge in changing it.Isn't it classed as a legal document? If this is the law,how are we going to find the right families in the future? Anyone else have this problem? |

The arguement here isnt so much with AUS gov as they say will correct,,,,,,,,,,,,,but with your stepmother as next of kin only she can take the steps needed. |

How important is it, Debra? Is it the cause of death, relationship, spelling? |

One of mine the second wife stated no first wife or children. Nothing can be done, just lucky I already had the information. |

Same here Gail. I was not the informant on my mother's death certificate and several things on it are incorrect. |
