Too many toys, and some get forgotten. Could work a flyer here and give them some in new wrapping paper this Christmas as stocking fillers! Seriously, there is no point in buying toys and not allowing the children topay with them. We still have several Teddies on show in our sitting room, a plastic duck in the bathroom and teddies in the bedroom. Solitaire is on the shelf. Little ones make a bee-line for the teddies, and because they are fragile we also have a couple of new ones around.

Dizzi,
I think it's a 'generation' thing!! My daughter used to do the same - toys were put away, almost never to be seen again until the next car boot. For me, toys were precious - perhaps because I'm of the generation where we didn't really have any - what there was needed to be cherished. Daughter car booted two antique teddies because they were 'untidy'!! Good for you salvaging some of the 'cast-offs'. No doubt they will be well loved and played with.
