My Great Grandfather was awarded a medal in 1918. Suspected to be the Indian General Service Medal for being stationed at the Khyber Pass. On the medal card it says T. EFF number A.O. 48 of 1918 (?)

Please can anyone help with the interpretation? I am wondering if it means Territorial Efficiency.

E/2/101/B18 Page 3857 Regiment Number: 320005 is also listed. Does anyone know if any of these numbers refeas to the Battalion?

I would love to hear.

Liz

The Territorial Efficiency Medal is a medal of the United Kingdom awarded for long service in the Territorial Army. This award superseded the Territorial Force Efficiency Medal when the Territorial Force became the Territorial Army in 1921.
