I bought a disc off Ebay with details from Post Office Directory Of Cornwall 1856 hoping to find out whether any of my ancesters were listed.. but can't find names from the right places.
But it's a great insight into local history.
Worth the fiver I spent [ tho I might have been better putting the money towards applying for birth certificates in my quest to find my family lol.
Ah well, gives me something to read when there's nothing on the box!
:o)

Anyone else bought info discs off ebay to help with their trees/quests?

I bought a Northamptonshire Street/Trade directory for £1 from eBay once.

None of my names in it so glad I didn't spend the RRP of about £9!
